This article featured the 16th ranked Wayne State women\'s cross country team, which placed fourth out of 20 teams at the 2004 Midwest Collegiate Open 5000 meter run held at Wisconsin Parkside on Saturday, September 18. Edinboro won the team title with 41 points, followed by Loyola-University 56 points, Wisconsin-Oshkosh 91 points, and Wayne State with 104 points.
